Me and my dad visited the Grand Prix of Monaco in 2016. The race was in the poring rain.
The race started in wet conditions, with the safety car leading the field for the opening laps of the race. Lewis Hamilton managed to win his first race of the year through a clever tactic (he only made one pit stop). Daniel Ricciardo finished second; due to problems during his second pit stop, he lost the lead of the race. Sergio Pérez was surprisingly third by staying ahead of Sebastian Vettel. Fernando Alonso took a fine fifth place, ahead of Nico Hülkenberg, who overtook Nico Rosberg a few meters before the finish. Carlos Sainz Jr. finished the race in eighth ahead of Jenson Button’s McLaren and Felipe Massa’s Williams
